Pinup Planner — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Pinup Planner is a shared notes, reminders, and calendar app for two people. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. It is deliberately short because the app is deliberately simple: there are no ads, no trackers, no analytics, and your information is never sold or shared with third parties.

Who runs it

Pinup Planner is built and operated by Onion Madder (Mad Sundar LLC). The app talks only to our own server at api.onionmadder.com. Questions: onion@onionmadder.com.

What we collect

  • Account details — your email address and the display name you choose, so you can sign in and your partner can tell who wrote what. Your password is stored only as a secure one-way hash; we never see or store the plain text.
  • Your content — the notes, checklists, reminders, and calendar events you create, so the app can show them to you and to the partner you connect with.
  • Cover photos — if you choose to upload cover images, they are stored on our server so they can appear as your app background. Uploading photos is optional.
  • Basic security logs — when you sign in, we briefly record the request's IP address and email to prevent password-guessing attacks. These records are automatically deleted after about a day.
  • Notification token — a device notification identifier may be sent to our server to support reminder delivery. Reminders currently fire locally on your device.

What we do not collect

No advertising identifiers, no location data, no contacts, no analytics or behavioural tracking, no crash-reporting SDKs. The app requests photo access only when you pick a cover image, and notification permission only so reminders can alert you.

How your information is used

Solely to make the app work: to authenticate you, to store and sync your content between you and the partner you invite into your shared space, and to keep the service secure. That's it. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell it.

Who can see your content

Your notes, reminders, events, and pins are shared with the one person you connect to via an invite code — that sharing is the whole point of the app. Cover photos stay private to you. We do not disclose your information to any other company or third party, except where strictly required by law.

Where it's stored & how it's protected

Data is stored on our hosting provider's servers (NearlyFreeSpeech.NET) in the United States. All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed; uploaded images are stripped of embedded metadata where possible.

Data retention

We keep your account and content until you delete them. Security logs are pruned automatically after roughly a day.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the You tab and use Delete account. This permanently removes your account and the content you created, including your uploaded cover photos. You can also email onion@onionmadder.com to request deletion.

Children

Pinup Planner is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
